Carolyn and Rich Velletri enjoy the variety of activities
at Lakewood: Monday night entertainment, art classes
and exhibits, Happy Hour, and more. But for them, the
highlight is the friendships they’ve made along the way.
“The best part of all of these activities is making new
friends,” they shared. “It is comforting to know we have
connections at Lakewood now and for the future.”
The Velletris are members of AgeSmart, LifeSpire of
Virginia’s innovative program for adults 55 and older
who want to age in place in their own homes instead
of, or before, moving into a LifeSpire community.
